Boyfriend lives next to a beautiful hilltop park but our busy/lazy selves rarely venture out there. Now that summer is almost over, we're reminding ourselves to take advantage of the beautiful weather and landscape available in front of us.
Palm trees, green grass, view of the city...right in our backyard.
I seriously had the hardest time styling this lace skirt. Something about it is just "off" and no matter how many tops I put on, I wasn't happy. In the end, simplicity won. I'm still not satisfied but whatevers.
On a different note...I first saw Katherine of Feather Factor sporting a long four-leave clover necklace and I thought it was super adorbs. Fast forward a few months, as I was browsing eBay, I came across a similar piece and jumped on the cheapie deal. A few days later, I was flipping through Lucky magazine and literally *GASPED* as I saw the price tag on the real deal. I am a jewelry novice and do not know much about brands/pricings at all. Katherine, please forgive me if you're reading this. All I can say is...Kat is a real baller haha.
California sunset on a gorgeous day...
Happy Monday dear friends!!! Hope you're enjoying your summer. <3
What a beautiful place! I wish I live near a park like this =) Enjoy the rest of your summer!
ReplyDeleteThere's just somehting about a light colored skirt that difficlt to style. I haven't figured out mine yet. But your outfit looks great. Simplicity is sometimes the best place to start. I think with my light skirt it has something to do with tucking things in, it just never looks right.

ReplyDeleteAs for the styling, I think you did a great job. I'd be interested to see a comparison of this skirt styled in the winter--maybe a holiday or party outfit? :)

hello old and new friends, thank you so much for stopping by. am the just the worse blogger or what? so late in all my replies :'(
ReplyDeletereally petite: thank you for the suggestion, i'll keep that in mind when relevant. :) a lot of times i don't post the sizes because i rarely do reviews. the items i'm wearing may be too big/small on me and if i don't mention that then i'm afraid the readers might be misled to buying something ill-fitting. so yes, i'll try to post sizes when accompanied by some kind of review hehe...
squeeze the bug: omg, i'm so honored, i don't even know what to say. i don't deserve them at all but you are too kind. much love <3
I came over from Peh Sun's blog as I was checking out all the lovely people she tagged for awards. Your bf is so lucky to live at a place with such beautiful scenery! I would imagine lots of artistic outfit shots in and around the area.
ReplyDeleteI was also scrolling through some of your previous posts. I love the way the photos are taken esp the splashing water shot and those on the beach. Simply lovely.
Will definitely be back here for more!
Jo: hi Jo! all credit goes to my bf for taking the photos hehe. thank you for stopping by and i hope to "see" more of you :)
