Nothing screams fall like tweed. Although it's just starting to heat up in Southern California, I look forward to cooler weather just so I can legitimately pull out my tweeds. Note that I despise cold weather...but I love dressing for it!
This lace top is one of my recent purchases and I love it. When bf first saw it, he said I have too many similar items already! I had to convince him that I don't lol.
Boyfriend and I are traveling to New York later this fall...and let me tell ya, I can't wait to see some real autumn leaves! If you're from the NY area or around there, please recommend any sightseeing activities and yummy eateries, bf and I thank ya much! ;)
nooo...the summer can't be over yet! I hate the cold too (born in the summer, will always be a tropical type of girl because of it) but love the fall clothes. tweed, wool jacket/skirt, sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnd which part of NY will you be in? New York City or upstate?
Very chic!

There's a pizza place on 110th and Broadway that serves HUGE slices of pizza for cheap (but you're probably not going to find yourself that far uptown)
3. Shake Shack http://www.shakeshack.com/
4. There's some great soul food places in Harlem, my favorite when I was living there was Native (but my husband said you probably don't want to travel a half an hour out of the way just to go there, wah). http://www.harlemnativenyc.com/
5. Keen's http://www.keens.com/ - this one's from my husband. He recommended the lamb chop with mint.
Love those pants, but yeah too early for tweed even for where I am! Oh that BR Mad Men top fits you so well!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! Simple yet chic!
ReplyDeleteElle: hehe, we're on the same boat. i'm definitely a summer girl but i also love winter clothes. i'll be staying in time square :)
ReplyDeleteQFFS: awww thank you for all the recommendations, you're such a sweetheart! <3 i shall look into those rec' :)
Elaine: i know, it's 100 degrees here today. (thank God the weather was cooler + gloomy yesterday or else I would not survive in these pants hehe). i also saw your top review...if i remember correctly, yours was a regular, not petite?
tinymum: thank you so much for stopping by and for your compliment :)
Love the lace top!!

Those pants are awesome! Loving that top, too!!
ReplyDeleteLove the tweed trousers on you with the lace top - looks so lovely and classic together. When I went to NYC, my favorite places were Fatty Crab in West Village and Don Pepe's Vesuvio in Queens. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYou look simply lovely as always. The lacey top and well cut pants are simple but very elegant. Yes, it will be lovely to see some falling autumn leaves. It is beginning to feel like autumn over here too.
ReplyDeleteThose pants look great on you! And, one can never have too many lace shirts!! Bwahahahaha. ^_~
ReplyDeletecome back come back, it's been too long. loving this outfit though, but missing your blogs. wonderful post, love. thanks for sharing. I'd love if you check out my latest outfit post. It's all about simplistic drama and one of my ultra favorite fall trends. xoxo

ReplyDeleteladies,
ReplyDeleteyou all are too kind. i'm so sorry for the lack of updates. thank you for still thinking of me <3 *hugs*
I love the lace top, which goes well with your pant.
ReplyDeletethank you, anon :)
ReplyDeleteI love tweed pants! But they can be very tricky to wear for some body figures (like mine, unfortunately). They look great on you! & the pairing with the lace top really makes an interesting play with textures...
ReplyDeleteCheers from the other side of the world :)
